Student National Art Education Association
To promote art education through professional development, service, advancement of knowledge, and leadership. For more information, please contact Bev Wilson, Advisor, at bwilson@lsu.edu.
Kinesiology Club
The Kinesiology Club is a student organization sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology. Club purposes include the following:
- acquaint students with research developments and educational developments in the discipline of Kinesiology
- promote professionalism in the Kinesiology field via membership and active participation in appropriate professional and scholastic organizations
- promote the image of Kinesiology through campus, community, and professional involvement and service
- establish a resource bank specific to our field, including information about potential employment, professional organization membership and certification
- promote social and academic interaction among graduate and undergraduate Kinesiology students
- promote feelings of camaraderie and fellowship among students from the different disciplines within the Kinesiology department
- promote a physically active lifestyle throughout the campus and its surrounding community

Kappa Delta Epsilon
The Beta Delta Chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon Honorary Professional Education Fraternity promotes the cause of education by fostering a spirit of fellowship, high standards of scholastic attainment, and professional ideals. Kappa Delta Epsilon at Louisiana State University recognizes outstanding students preparing to enter the teaching profession or related fields. Students applicable for membership must have attained at least a 3.0 GPA, have completed at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate work, and must be in a program leading to certification in teaching or a related field. All eligible students will be contacted by letter of invitation each semester. KDE meets bi-monthly and has guest speakers who share the latest innovative teaching materials and ideals.
Phi Kappa Phi
Phi Kappa Phi is a scholastic honor society founded in 1897 and one of the most prestigious scholastic honor societies in the U. S. The LSU chapter was founded in 1930. Phi Kappa Phi promotes the pursuit of excellence in higher education and recognizes outstanding achievement by students and faculty through election to membership and through various awards and fellowships. Juniors in the top five percent and seniors in the top ten percent of their classes may be invited to become members of Phi Kappa Phi.
