National Educational Leader Visits College, Student-Scholars

The College of Education Department of Educational Theory, Policy, and Practice (ETPP) welcomed Linda Tillman, Ph.D., professor and coordinator of Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tillman presented her lecture titled, “The Public University: Toward Culturally and Community Informed Teaching, Research, and Service,” as part of ETPP’s Spring Lecture Series.
In addition, she is associate director of Graduate Student Development for the University Council for Educational Administration where she directs the Barbara L. Jackson Scholars Program. Tillman’s visit was sponsored by the LSU College of Education, the African American Cultural Center, Higher Education Student and Professional Association (HESPA), Safe Space Campaign, and Women and Gender Studies. |
