Kinesiology Program Coordinator wins National Award

Dept. of Kinesiology Undergraduate Programs Coordinator Katherine F. Hill received the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) Honor Award at the annual convention in Fort Worth, Tex.
The Honor Award is bestowed on individuals who exemplify personal integrity and devoted service to the profession and who have, through their leadership and industry, made an outstanding and noteworthy contribution to the advancement of health, physical education, recreation or dance. Recipients are designated as Honor Fellows in recognition of their high level of achievement.
Hill has served as chair of two national committees, received the Louisiana and Southern District AAHPERD Honor Award and was recognized by the University of Florida College of Health and Human Performance as an Outstanding Alumnus. Hill has served as the executive director of Louisiana AAHPERD for 18 years and is the only person to have served continuously on the Louisiana Governor’s Council for Physical Fitness and Sports under seven governors. |
