PK-3 Program Celebrates Accomplishments

The PK-3 program held a luncheon for their first cohort of graduating seniors at Juban’s Restaurant on March 11, 2007. Teaching Strategies, an early childhood education publishing company, selected the LSU Preschool as a model site for a video they are currently producing. Teaching Strategies also publishes the Creative Curriculum, the most prestigious and widely used preschool curriculum. Along with the success of the highly competitve PK-3 program, graduates are also experiencing success outside of LSU. Caitlin Fontenot and Afton Tucker have accepted positions at Northwestern Elementary School in Zachary. Christina Freyder was accepted to Mississippi University for Women in Columbus for graduate study in reading and literacy. Kerri Blue received the Pathways Scholarship for fall 2007.
