Service Project Paints “Coast to Coast”
On Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, a class of 25 LSU education students enrolled in Margaret- Mary Sulentic Dowell and Jennifer Jolly’s class painted the finishing touches on a colorful 30’ x 35’ U.S. map painted on the recreation area of Highland Elementary School.
The map features all 50 states and will be used in instructional and recreational fitness activities for the students at the school. It is also a part of Principal Kaye Van Sickle’s renovation plan to make the campus more appealing and visually striking for the students and teachers.
