College of Education Assistant Professor Named Editor of National PublicationCollege of Education Assistant Professor Jennifer Jolly was named the editor of Parenting for High Potential, the parenting publication of the National Association of Gifted Children. It is a quarterly magazine designed for parents who want to make a difference in their children’s lives, who want to develop their children’s gifts and talents, and who want to help them develop their potential to the fullest. |
Jolly received a Ph.D. in educational psychology in 2004 and an M.S.Ed in curriculum and instruction in 1994 from Baylor University. She received a B.A. from California State University – Sacramento, majoring in social science and minoring in government. She holds two lifetime teaching certifications and a gifted and talented endorsement for grades K-12 in the state of Texas. Jolly also has worked as the acquisitions editor for Prufrock Press and served as the editor for Tempo, the professional journal for the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented. A member of both the elementary education and integrated studies divisions in the Department of Educational Theory, Policy, and Practice, Jolly’s research and teaching interests are focused on gifted education, teacher preparation, research methodologies, learning theory, and curriculum and instruction. |
