Lisa G. Johnson
|
Dr. Johnson serves as an instructor in the undergraduate Fitness Studies concentration. She teaches Exercise Testing and Prescription, Scientific Basis for Exercise and coordinates the Fitness Studies internship program and Health Science minor. She received the Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award in 1999 and 2003. Dr. Johnson serves on the Board of Directors for the Southside YMCA and Louisiana Association for Health, Recreation, and Dance. She also assists with coordinating departmental participation in community events such as the American Heart Walk, Legislative Fitness Day and other health/wellness fairs. Dr. Johnson research interests include physical environmental influences on physical activity and health and endocrine responses to exercise. Her work has been presented at state, regional, and national meetings.
