Mrs. Hill serves as Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program and Assistant Department Chair. Her teaching areas are: History and Philosophy of Kinesiology, Curriculum Theory and Health and Physical Education content and pedagogy for the Elementary School. Mrs. Hill has been recognized in the state of Louisiana, within the Southern District of AAHPERD and nationally, for her professional contributions to the professions of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She has received the Louisiana and Southern District Honor Award and the Presidential Award of AAHPERD. Mrs. Hill has served as Executive Director, Chairman and Member of the Louisiana Governor’s Council for Physical Fitness and Sports under five governors. She has served for 15 years as the Executive Director for the Louisiana Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. In 1997, Mrs. Hill was recognized as one of twenty- nine Outstanding Graduates from the College of Health and Human Performance (University of Florida) at the College’s fiftieth anniversary celebration. Mrs. Hill has made numerous presentations at conventions, teacher in-service meetings and is known throughout the state as an advocate for daily, quality health and physical education in the K-12 education system. She serves on several statewide committees and as a reviewer for professional publications. Mrs. Hill is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa notional leadership fraternity. She is serving as the President of the Capitol Area American Heart Association Boaed of Directors. Mrs. Hill has been a long time volunteer for Louisiana Special Olympics, United States Sports Festival and the Louisiana Senior Games.
