Birgitta Baker received her PhD with a specialization in leisure studies and a minor in human development and family studies from Pennsylvania State University.

Baker is joining the Division of Pedagogy and Psychological Studies in the Department of Kinesiology as an assistant professor.

Baker’s research interests include adolescent physical activity, life transitions and physical activity, physical activity motivation, and family influences on physical activity.

Baker’s teaching assignments are exercise and sport psychology and tests and measurements.
