Kristie Galy

Kristie Galy joined the College of Education as the Coordinatorof Sponsored Programs in November 2006. A three-time LSU alumna, Galy obtained a Masters of Public Administration in May of 2005 and received a B.A. in political science in 2003 and a B.A. in communications in 1995. She was elected to the Staff Senate in 2007 and is a graduate of LEAD...emerge, a campus-wide leadership development program.
Previously Galy worked in the LSU Department of Biological Sciences maintaining accounts for the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network and serving as the primary liaison between the principle investigators and the Office of Sponsored Programs. Galy also worked at the Division of Administration in the Office of Planning and Budget as a State Budget Management Analyst.
Galy hopes to build upon the current momentum of the office and increase proposal submission by exploring alternative funding opportunities outside of the more traditional sources, saying, “I am eager to expand our community outreach initiatives and build relationships with university and community partners.”
