Laura Hensley Choate

Dr. Choate, Assistant Professor of Counselor Education, has been with the counselor education program since August 1999. She is the coordinator for the Community Counseling specialization. Her research interests include college counseling, college student wellness, and women’s issues in counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and volunteer outreach speaker for the Baton Rouge Stop Rape Crisis Center. Dr. Hensley teaches Interpersonal Communication, Group Counseling, Analysis of the Individual, Multicultural Counseling, Practicum and Internship.
