College of Education to Host Linda Tillman
The College of Education Dept. of Educational Theory, Policy, and Practice (ETPP) will welcome Linda Tillman, PhD, professor and coordinator of Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tillman will give her lecture titled, "The Public University: Toward Culturally and Community Informed Teaching, Research, and Service," as part of ETPP's Spring Lecture Series. A reception honoring Tillman will begin at 5 pm and her presentation will follow at 5:45 pm in 225 Peabody Hall. With teaching and administrative experience in urban school districts, Tillman currently serves as vice president of Division A for the American Educational Research Association (AERA). In addition, she is associate director of Graduate Student Development for the University Council for Educational Administration where she directs the Barbara L. Jackson Scholars Program.
