Graduate Program Admission Information
To be admitted to the M.Ed, M.A., Ed.S., or Ph.D. programs, a student must complete normal Graduate school application procedures, including meeting the Graduate School deadlines.
After completed application materials are received from the Graduate School, faculty panels in each degree program review and make admission recommendations to the department chair. Upon approval by the department, students are notified of acceptance by the Graduate School.
Financial Assistance
Departmental assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. Stipends for academic-year appointments for doctoral students start at $9,000. Deadline for submission of applications for financial aid is January 25.
Graduate Faculty
The LSU Department of Curriculum and Instruction was cited by the Louisiana Board of Regents' Ph.D. Review Summary as a department that had "attracted a high quality faculty at both the senior and junior level, had a good sense of purpose for their programs, and good sense of themselves as an academic community."
