A Department Re-imagined
The Department of Educational Theory, Policy and Practice (ETPP) focuses on promoting and improving educational contexts in a variety of traditional and non-traditional settings. From preparing future teachers and other education professionals to preparing tomorrow’s leaders in educational research, theory, and practice, ETPP has a broad scope of influence and a wide array of constituencies. Leadership through teaching, research, and service provides the basis for bridging theory to practice through inquiry, and creation of new knowledge, to address the needs of a variety of education stakeholders.
ETPP programs encourage and facilitate inter- and multi-disciplinary approaches to teaching and research. From a global perspective, students and faculty are in a position to influence education through research, policy, and leadership.
