Educational Leadership

Master's Program (M.Ed.)

Mission

The mission of the Master of Education in Administration program is to prepare aspiring can current principals to lead schools in an ethically and socially just way.

Vision

The vision of the Master of Education in Administration program is to foster in aspiring and current principals a deeply held belief in the capacity of every student to achieve economic, intellectual, and social success presently and throughout life. Graduates of the program will thoughtfully challenge the status quo; assumptions about teaching, learning, and the curriculum that might marginalize certain students; and structures and practices that inhibit student learning. Graduates will demonstrate a commitment to the learning of all members of the school they lead and will create nurturing learning communities that inspire teachers to commit to improvement as a professional obligation to the students they teach.
